Semporna, Sabah.

Semporna is a town located in Tawau Division, in the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia on the island of Borneo.



The main attraction here for photographers would be the numerous beautiful islands and the Bajau Laut people or Sea Gypsies.

The Art of Pouring with Franck Evers

Franck Evers is THE Draughtmaster and Global Ambassador of Heineken.

Mr.Evers was in town recently to give us poor souls a lesson or two on getting the "perfect pour" with every pint of Heineken.

The 100 - Self Portrait

Something experimental.
The goal was to have ONE HUNDRED of me in a single frame.

I actually managed to snap ONE HUNDRED shots, but turns out due to my poor planning, quite a big chunk of the shots were blocked or you could only see my arm, leg, etc.

So..yeah..this is the final outcome.

Portraiture - Facetime

A little fun shoot I organized with the help of a couple of friends. Or should I say.. "victims". *evil smile*

The concept is simple, WATER BALLOONS + YOUR FACE.
The initial idea was for the "victims" to put on a straight face and MAINTAIN that straight face as the water balloons hit them right smack in the face.



Alas, our instincts proved to be quite hard to fight.
It turned out quite alright though as these expressions are priceless.





This shot was the most "maintain" of the lot.

It's a joy when the model's skin is flawless or almost flawless. Very light make-up and some studio strobes = minimal touch-up in post production.

I love candid shots, because of how "genuine" the expressions are. So, I was rather delighted to capture this candid moment whilst in the studio.

Didn't have the time to compose the shot, hence the slightly cropped knee on the right.



Playing with off-camera strobe. The speedlight at the back was triggered optically via camera's on-board flash.
